What scheduling does
Every job can carry a date and, if you want, a time. The Schedule tab reads those and lays your work out in three plain lists: Overdue in red, Upcoming next, and Needs a date for the jobs you haven't slotted yet. No month grid to fuss with — just what's late, what's next, and what's loose.
From a scheduled job you can tap for turn-by-turn directions to the customer's address, or send a ready-written "on my way" or appointment-reminder text that goes out from your phone. Recurring work — a pool route, a monthly service — drops onto the schedule on its own.

When you create a job or open one, set the date and, if it matters, a time. That’s all it takes to put it on your schedule.

Tap the address on a scheduled job to open turn-by-turn directions in your maps app. No copy-pasting.

Fire off a pre-written, name-aware text so the customer knows you’re coming. It sends from your phone, so there’s no compliance headache and no per-message fee.

Why it’s kept simple
Dispatch software is built for a shop with a board full of trucks and a person whose whole job is routing them. You're one person with a phone. A month-view calendar and route optimization are noise you'd never open.
So scheduling here is three honest lists and the two buttons you actually press — directions and "on my way." It's included, it works from the driveway, and it never texts your customer on your behalf.

Scheduling — common questions
Is there a calendar view?
Scheduling uses sorted lists — Overdue, Upcoming, and Needs a date — instead of a month grid, because that’s what actually helps a one-person operation see the day. A full calendar view isn’t there today.
Does it text my customers automatically?
No. SideWRK never sends texts on your behalf. The "on my way" and reminder texts are pre-written for you and send from your own phone, so you’re always the sender.
Can I schedule recurring jobs?
Yes. Recurring service plans automatically create each visit on its date with the job details pre-filled — ideal for routes and monthly maintenance.
Does it handle time zones right?
Yes. "Today" and overdue are figured in your local time, so a job doesn’t read as overdue just because of a UTC mix-up in the evening.
What can I do with no signal?
Start a job and add the work — the line items, notes, and details. It's saved on your phone and syncs when you're back online, so nothing you captured in the field is lost.
Does everything work offline?
The field work does. Things that have to reach someone else — sending a customer their estimate, running a card payment — go through once you're back in signal. The paperwork doesn't stop; the sending waits for a connection.

Will I lose work if my phone dies offline?
